Our Founders
A seasoned IP consultant who has pioneered delivery of purpose-driven solutions for several clients. He is a Patent Licesing expert and has been responsible for raising and resurrecting strong teams of IP professionals in his previous engagements. He holds a degree in technology and is passionate about solution designing, analytical studies, and strategic partnerships that create mutual benefits. Before starting Covallence, Sumit accrued a decade of experience in the IP industry, holding leadership positions as VP of Operations at Hourglass and Group Manager, Technology & Innovation, at Sagacious IP.

With a background in Engineering and Patent Laws, he possesses a remarkable ability to navigate the intricate landscape of IP law. He is a vivid storyteller, and a firm believer of the fact that every invention holds a story, a vision, and a dream at its core. Shyamal is a qualified Indian Patent Agent, and prior to co-founding Covallence, he has steered teams towards excellence working in both in-house setups and at mid-sized and large IP consultancy firms.
